"I'm telling someone you're being mean to me!" Adrian had sobbed and the therapist just sighed in return. "Adrian.." he lightened his grip some and glared in warning at the patient. "I don't want to be mean to you.. but you can be so stubborn some times." Alexander actually didn't hate Adrian, he adored him. The dark haired boy intrigued Alexander, the way he interacted with people in not exactly a hostile way, but a way like a cat tries to look tough in front of a dog. You can always tell Adrian is scared, or at least Alexander could but maybe that's just cause he's been around him so long. No matter how mean and aggressive he gets, Adrian always just looks scared.
As Spencer followed behind him, Alexander smiled slightly and nodded. "I'm Dr. Evans by the way.... not sure we've officially met but I run the group therapy sessions. And considering you and Mr. Clark share a room I'm sure he's talked about me plenty." He smirked and let go of Adrian hand to place it on his head and rub his head, ruffling the red tuffs of messy hair. "When did you dye your hair anyways? Better yet, who gave you hair dye?"
He doubted Adrian would answer him, but it didn't hurt to ask. He shifted his hand back down, positioning it so he could quickly grab Adrian again if he tried to run but still giving him freedom. Naturally, Adrian fell back so he was walking beside Spencer. Of course Alexander noticed how close the two had grown, and he couldn't say he was surprised. He'd requested for the two to be in a room together cause he thought that they would get along well, their personalities didn't clash but instead mixed perfectly. They understood each other, Spencer was just like a more shy version of Adrian. Sure their personality traits were different and they handled things differently but they were similar and there was no mistake in that, and Alexander knew Adrian was more comfortable with people who understood and have gone through similar things as him.
He noted that the first year Adrian was at Daniel Grey. 2 years didn't seem like that much time, but it was. Much to anyone's surprise there was a lot of progress that Adrian had made during the last few years. When he first came, he didn't look to good. His hair was black just as it had always been, but it was shorter. His hands were covered in bandages and burns and his face was cut and split up. To this day Alexander has no idea what made him look like that when he first arrived. He literally jumped at everything though, he was still stubborn like he is now (to less of an extreme), but he was far less aggressive, he was more passive and Alexander but if someone were to tell him to run off a cliff, or worse kill someone he would do it simply out of fear. As time raged on though, Adrian started becoming more defiant of people, instead of being skittish he was just as firey and rude as he is now.
During the first year Adrian and Alexander were closest. Because he didn't have a roommate for the first few months, Adrian was afraid. Because Alexander suffered from insomnia as well, the two of them would just stay up all night together and most the time, Adrian wouldn't even talk. Usually, they just sat in silence, Dr. Evans doing paper work and organizing files and Adrian drawing silently on the floor or filling in coloring books. Dr. Evans was the one who gave Adrian the bad habit of drawing and writing on things. He had said something about expressing yourself can often be a good way for a lot of people to feel better, make the bad things go away. Of course it connected in Adrian's mind that writing and drawing literally constantly would make his hallucinations stop. Alexander just didn't stop him cause it did make Adrian feel better and more safe.
Suddenly, though, around the end of his first year, Adrian started hating Alexander just like he hates everyone else. He was never sure what happened, but he knew that when he told Adrian that he had insomnia before he was over joyed and a little more accepting of the therapist, but then as Alexander tried to get the patient to open up more, to explain to him why he had hallucinations it all went down hill. Thats when he learned how much Adrian hates being called crazy, so much that he had actually ditched the only person he was friends with.
As they approached his apartment, Alexander pulled out his keys and opened the door. "You two can sit down" he said, motioning to his sitting area as he shoved his keys back into his pocket and disappeared into his kitchen. "I'm going to make some tea.. if you guys want some just say so." Adrian was more of a coffee person, but unfortunately Alexander preferred tea. It's in his British blood.
After turning the tea on he made his way back to the sitting area, joining the two men and sitting down in a chair across from them. "So, whats got you all worked up?" He said as he cross his legs, hooking his fingers and placing the palms of his hands on his knee.
